If you are contemplating cosmetic surgery, the physicians at The Centre, P.C. in Elkhart, Indiana have some suggestions that may make your decision to commit to plastic surgery easier. We have four basic recommendations during the exciting, but also, sometimes confusing, decision-making process regarding cosmetic surgery.First of all, we recommend that you do your homework. Research the cosmetic surgery procedure you are considering and talk to people who have had the same procedure done. You should be aware of the benefits and the risks, and when you come to our office, our physicians and staff will explain everything to you and answer all of your questions.
Second, we encourage all of our prospective patients to have realistic expectations regarding what surgery will do for you. Plastic surgery often does make dramatic changes in your appearance and your life, but it's not a cure-all for everything "not right" in your life. During your consultation, we will discuss your expectations with you and explain what the realistic expectations of your procedure are.
Third, we insist you be well-informed. We encourage you to read out patient testimonials and to look at the before/after photos of our actual patients. Any office that does not offer both to you may have something to hide.
Lastly, we encourage to ask questions. We are here for you, and we encourage to write all of your questions down as you may forget them at the time of your appointment. We will work hard to make sure you understand what is involved with your procedure, what recovery is like, and what results can be expected.
