Our body treatments may be one of the most soothing experiences you'll ever have. The Centre, P.C. offers two types of body wraps - a Purifying Body Wrap that uses seaweed and a Firming Thermal Loose Wrap - as well as a special Lymphatic Firming Massage that can be performed following surgery and taught to you for continued healing.

Purifying Body Wrap

The Purifying Body Wrap is also called "The Mermaid." It is an exfoliating and detoxifying treatment. It begins with the client lying on a heated, waterproof bed. A seaweed and oxygenating body scrub is painted on the legs, then wrapped in elastic wraps that have been soaked in essential oils and heated. The legs are then wrapped in a special foil blanket. Once this is done, a target massage, lasting approximately 20 minutes, is done on the back and arms. The elastic wraps are then removed from the legs, which are washed with warmed towels that have also been treated with essential oils. A lymphatic and firming massage is performed on the back of the legs. The client then turns over and the front of the legs are cleansed and massaged. A neck, head and face massage follows. The client is cocooned in the linen and feels very cozy.

To complete the experience, a foot massage following by Healing Touch is performed. This treatment is excellent for exfoliating and detoxifying the skin. As the toxins are released and moisture and minerals are absorbed, you will experience a renewed energy that will last for days. The Purifying Body Wrap is excellent with any facial and recommended for pre- and post-operative care.

Firming Thermal Loose Wrap

The Firming Thermal Loose Wrap is different, but also very beneficial. A light exfoliation with an oxygenating body scrub is done to the lower legs, followed by a series of tightening and firming ampoules and serums. A thermal massage will allow deeper penetration of products, stimulate blood flow, and make you feel warm and relaxed. A target massage on the back, arms and neck will also be done. The body will be loosely wrapped, but still cocooned. The session will be completed with a foot massage and Healing Touch. The Firming Thermal Loose Wrap is an excellent follow-up therapy for Endermologie.

Lymphatic Firming Massage

Swelling and discomfort are common after cosmetic surgery. Lymphatic Firming Massage helps alleviate these problems and also stimulates healing. Lymphatic Firming Massage begins with a very light touch that is always directed toward the heart to promote circulation. A firming massage is performed after the lymphatic portion and involves a firmer touch in circular and/or long strokes, depending on the area being worked. It should never be painful.

This procedure is also excellent for persons who have experienced lymphedema, a condition that causes chronic swelling in a specific area when the lymphatic system has been disturbed.
