Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Michiana Repetitive Motion Injuries (RMI) are among the most common injuries in the United States. They are caused by repetitive and excessive use of the upper body, causing pain and swelling. RMI affects soft tissue which includes muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and connective tissue. They can be a result of work tasks, sporting activities or Leisure activities. Other factors that contribute to an RMI are obesity, smoking, pregnancy, and nutrition, causing decreased blood supply and nutrients for tissue repair.
