Plastic Surgeon Ronald K. Downs, M.D., F.A.C.S., is the founder of The Centre, P.C. and Centre Yourself, with locations in Elkhart and South Bend, Indiana. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Medical Association, Indiana State Medical Association, Ohio Valley Plastic Surgery Society and Rush Surgical Society.

Dr. Downs finished his plastic surgery training at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Centre in Chicago and has practiced in the Elkhart area since 1992. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Although his board certification and credentials attest to his knowledge, Dr. Downs’ surgical skill is the basis of his greatest recognition. He has a stellar reputation and takes pride in helping his patients achieve a natural appearance.

He is also known for his compassionate, caring approach and his commitment to achieving the best results possible. Dr. Downs strives to educate his patients about every procedure in a warm and caring manner.

On a more personal level, Dr. Downs enjoys spending time with his daughters, lifting weights and going 18 rounds on the golf course. And he is a Notre Dame fan, even though he played football for the U.S. Naval Academy.
