The dermal fillers offered at Centre Yourself are easy to administer, provide reproducible cosmetic results, remain in the dermis for a significant period of time, and have a superior safety profile. Injection of fillers usually requires the use of either a topical numbing cream or a local injection of numbing medication. Then, using a small needle, the dermal filler is injected into each wrinkle or scar that requires treatment. Some mild burning, stinging and bruising is normal and quickly resolves.

Restylane®

Restylane is the first FDA-approved injectable dermal filler made of non-animal, stabilized hyaluronic acid, or NASHA™. As the next frontier of soft-tissue fillers, Restylane erases lines and folds by adding volume beneath the skin’s surface to lift the skin and smooth out the wrinkle or fold. It is made of a natural substance already found in the human body and is, in fact, almost identical to the body’s hyaluronic acid. Because of this, it is completely biodegradable and integrates naturally into the tissue to allow important nutrients to pass through to the injection site.

Restylane is not derived from an animal or human source, so it doesn’t pose a risk of allergy or disease transmission. It is also long-lasting, though not permanent. Its effects can last up to 6-12 months, compared to 4-6 months for bovine and human-derived collagen.

In addition, unlike permanent fillers, Restylane does not contain artificial ingredients such as plastic beads, which at times cause lumps that require surgical removal. Perlane®

Like Restylane, Perlane is based on hyaluronic acid, but has a higher concentration. This makes it more effective for deeper wrinkles and larger facial folds. Restylane does a better job for fine lines and can also be used to prolong Perlane results.

Perlane supplies the missing volume of aging skin which lacks hyaluronic acid. It is biodegradable and is eventually absorbed harmlessly by the body. Results of a Perlane treatment last usually last for 6-8 months. Before they fade you can have a repeat treatment to keep the youthful results in place.
