Plastic surgeon Ronald K. Downs, M.D., F.A.C.S., is the founder of The Centre, P.C., located in Elkhart, Indiana. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Other memberships include the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Medical Association, Indiana State Medical Association, Ohio Valley Plastic Surgery Society and Rush Surgical Society.
Dr. Downs is active in the Elkhart County Medical Society, currently serving as its secretary and treasurer. He is also on the board of directors for the Indiana State Medical Association and served as president of ISMA from 2003 to 2004.
Dr. Downs completed his plastic surgery training at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Centre in Chicago and has practiced in the Elkhart area since 1992. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Although Dr. Downs' board certification and credentials attest to his knowledge, his surgical skill is the basis of his greatest recognition. Dr. Downs has an excellent reputation and takes pride in helping his patients achieve a natural appearance.
He is also known for his caring and compassionate approach and his commitment to achieving the best results possible. Dr. Downs strives to educate his patients about each and every procedure in a warm and caring manner.
Dr. Downs and The Centre, P.C. are involved in many community charities and organizations. In addition, Dr. Downs has appeared on several television and radio talk shows as an expert in the field of plastic surgery.
On a more personal level, Dr. Downs enjoys lifting weights and going 18 rounds on the golf course. He also is a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. And although he played football for the U.S. Naval Academy, he still roots for Navy’s fierce rival, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame!
