Local Surgeon Invited to Speak in Indianapolis

Elkhart, Indiana (May 11, 2009) – The Centre, P.C. announced today that its founder, Ronald K. Downs, MD, FACS, has been invited to present at this Spring’s Worker’s Compensation Seminar. He will be discussing the “Long Term Consequences of Repetitive Stress Injuries” with Indiana nurse case managers and other professionals involved in worker’s compensation. The seminar will take place on Friday, May 15 from 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, Indiana.
Dr. Downs’ presentation will provide details on the following topics:
- Types and causes of repetitive stress injuries, often called RSI.
- Effective conservative and surgical treatments of RSI.
- Techniques for the prevention of RSI.
“Professionals who deal with worker’s compensation issues will benefit from this seminar,” said Dr. Downs. “I intend to address many unanswered questions about these types of injuries and how best to treat them.”
Dr. Downs is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Indiana State Medical Association, Ohio Valley Plastic Surgery Society and Rush Surgical Society. He founded The Centre, P.C. in 1992.
