Viscardi Accepted into ASPS

Elkhart, IN — Patrick J. Viscardi, MD, has been accepted as a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation. As a member, Plastic Surgeon Patrick Viscardi has access to a wealth of medical information and resources, and through votes and participation in committees can help shape the field of plastic surgery in the United States. He is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. His other memberships include the Indiana State Medical Association and the Elkhart County Medical Association. Dr. Viscardi is a partner and a member of the medical staff at The Centre, P.C., which he joined in 1998.
Having passed the stringent requirements for membership in the ASPS and the PSEF, Dr. Viscardi is entitled to use the Society’s Symbol of Excellence as a testament to his expertise.
Dr. Viscardi received his medical degree in 1989 from the University of Rochester (New York). He interned at the University of Louisville (Kentucky), where he also completed a residency in general surgery. During his residency, he attended the Kleinert Institute of Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, receiving a Fellowship in Hand Surgery. This extra level of education endowed Dr. Viscardi with a comprehensive understanding of the specific physiology and treatment of the hand. His residency in plastic surgery was completed at Duke University (Durham, North Carolina).
