Called “LipoSelect SM by Vaser,” the procedure uses advanced ultrasonic technology to remove unwanted fat from the thighs, hips, abdomen, love handles, knees, back, arms, neck and chin.
Unlike traditional liposuction, which removes all types of tissue, LipoSelect gently separates fatty tissue from collagen, blood and lymphatic vessels, and nerves. Sound energy (similar to that used to remove cataracts in the eye) is transmitted to tissue by way of small, solid probes unique to LipoSelection. The sound energy bounces off the tissue with collagen (nerves, blood cells, connective tissue) while targeting just fat cells, which are softer and break apart on contact, like full water balloons.
