ADMINISTRATION

Lain
Executive Director
Lain is the Executive Director of The Centre, P.C., where she manages a staff of approximately 30 team members under two physicians in a facility with a AAAASF-certified operating room, occupational therapy and skin health services located in two offices – Elkhart and Chesterton. Prior to 18 years of plastic surgery administration, here and in Chicago, she worked as an international private banker in New York City and as a dealer finance lender outside Philadelphia.

Lain grew up in Waverly, New York and graduated with a B.A. from Arcadia University (formerly known as Beaver College) in Glenside, PA. She also received a Certificate in Executive Management in 1996.

In 2001, she served as the national president for the Plastic Surgery Administrative Association and has served the Economic Development Corporation for Elkhart County. She currently serves as a board member for the Elkhart Community Bank and Chair of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce. She is active as a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Elkhart.

Donald
Director of Business Operations
Donald joined The Centre, P.C. in June of 1997. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University and graduated from the Elkhart Leadership Academy in 2005. Donald oversees the accounts receivable department and handles all financial aspects of the practice. His personal interests are sports and spending time with his family.

Chuck
Director of Marketing/Public Relations
Chuck’s primary duties include initiating, coordinating and executing all marketing, advertising and public relations programs for The Centre, P.C. Chuck has 18 years experience primarily in commercial printing, advertising and graphic design. He holds a bachelors degree in Communication and Psychology from Purdue University. Chuck’s hobbies include reading, golf and playing Wii with his son and wife.

Rae
Executive Assistant
Rae has been with The Centre, P.C. since March of 2007. She joined us after working for the former Congressman Chris Chocola as his District Scheduler and Office Manager. As a result of her background, she brings an excellent working knowledge of all Human Resources functions. In addition to assisting the Executive Director in the daily business activities of the practice, she handles many special projects as assigned. When not in the office, Rae enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping and target practice.

Barb
Senior Accounts Receivable Assistant
With over 20 years of experience, Barb brings a solid knowledge base to her responsibilities with patient accounts. She also serves as our HIPAA compliance officer. When not at work, Barb enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. 

PATIENT SERVICES - RECONSTRUCTIVE

Danielle
Director of Reconstructive Patient Services
Danielle oversees all functions of patient services in the reconstructive area. She is responsible for smooth patient flow from intake, to surgery and further treatment, and ultimately discharge. She also manages medical records, referrals, and various aspects of insurance including workers’ compensation.

Danielle graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management with high honors. In her free time she stays active with her friends and family and also enjoys digital photography.

Angel
Communications/Reconstructive Coordinator
Angel’s responsibilities include office communications and reconstructive patient intake. Angel collects patient intake information and prepares each patient for their appointments. She receives and distributes phone calls, messages and patient information.  She also assists with various scheduling activities. Angel is a fundamental part of our ongoing file digitization process. 

When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her twin boys.

Matt
Medical Transcriptionist
Matt is responsible for document flow within the office. He transcribes provider dictations and ensures appropriate documentation for each patient. He also prepares various letters and mailings and assists with office projects as necessary. Matt is an instrumental part of our ongoing file digitization program. 

In his leisure hours, he enjoys Cubs baseball, IU basketball and weightlifting.

PATIENT SERVICES - COSMETIC

Lisa
Director of Cosmetic Services - Elkhart
Lisa oversees the daily functions of the Cosmetic area of The Centre, P.C. as well as Centre Yourself, our medical rejuvenation spa. When not in the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with her children.

Aimee
Patient Image Consultant
For patients who are considering cosmetic surgery, Aimee provides information about the cosmetic surgeon, the facilities and the procedures. She helps ensure that the flow of patients in our cosmetic and skin health departments is a smooth process. Aimee enjoys spending time with her children when not in the office.

REHABILITATION SERVICES

Barb
COTA/Director of Rehabilitation Services
As the Director of Rehabilitation Services, Barb is responsible for the operations of the department and the supervising of staff. Her work includes the hiring and training of all staff in Rehab.

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, she also works closely with the Occupational Therapist to implement and carry out specific treatment plans. Due to the complexity of the hand injuries seen at The Centre, P.C, her skills also include custom splinting.

When not working, Barb enjoys spending time outdoors in her flower garden and reading.

Susan
Registered Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist
Susan has been dedicated to the field of occupational therapy for more than 30 years. She has specialized in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation for a majority of those years. She thrives on the challenges each patient brings to therapy, from traumatic injuries to cumulative trauma, congenital anomalies and arthritic conditions. Helping each individual find independence in his/her daily activities, work, leisure and/or sports is the overall goal.

Susan has expertise in splint fabrication and a multitude of treatment techniques, including IASTM, kenesiotaping, lymphatic/edema management techniques, desensitization program, patient education in the use of assistive devices/adaptive techniques, body mechanics and ergonomic techniques. Susan also performs job site assessments and job coaching to facilitate the patient’s safe and timely return to work and treatment can be customized to their specific work requirements.  

Susan enjoys family, friends, art and music outside of work. She draws, paints and makes beaded jewelry. Custom fabricating splints for her patients fulfill the artist in her. She calls her splints “functional sculpture.”

Christine
Registered Occupational Therapist
Christine treats patients with a variety of hand injuries and upper extremity injuries. She enjoys the complex nature of the injuries and the opportunity for continued medical learning in hand rehabilitation.

Christine graduated from Western Michigan University in 1994 and has worked in the areas of industrial rehabilitation, work hardening and in an inpatient rehabilitation setting treating a variety of patients from the areas of oncology, stroke and head injury to upper extremity wounds and joint replacements.

Christine enjoys spending time with her husband and her four children and with friends and family. She also enjoys sporting activities, reading, cooking and scrap booking.

Helen
Registered Occupational Therapist
Helen works with clients who have received traumatic hand injuries or cumulative trauma injuries involving the hand. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. She says that the sense of accomplishment and recovery her clients receive is what makes the hard work and continued learning worthwhile.

When not at work, Helen, along with her husband, is the director of a puppet ministry in her church. She enjoys being with family, especially her grandchildren and friends. In her spare time, she scrapbooks with friends and golfs with her husband.

Wendi
Patient Care Assistant
Wendi is responsible for making sure that the patient flow in the Rehabilitation department is a seamless process. She assists our occupational therapists with all types of patient care modalities.
When not at work, Wendi enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends.

SURGICAL SERVICES

Larry
CFA/Director of Surgical Services
Larry has worked at The Centre, P.C. for more than eight years as Director of Surgical Services (CFA). His position involves assisting The Centre's highly skilled cosmetic surgeons while managing the OR staff.

A few of his personal interests are family, travel and physical conditioning.

Tracey, RN
Surgical Services
Tracey works in collaboration with the Director of Surgical Services, as well as overseeing the Operating Room, PACU, step-down unit, and pre- and post-operative areas. She also coordinates the total care of the patient in conjunction with other health team members. She enjoys spending time with her family.

Elise, RN
Surgical Services
Elise works with surgical staff members overseeing the Operating Room, PACU, step-down unit, and pre- and post-operative areas. She coordinates the total care of the patient in conjunction with other health team members. Elise enjoys spending time with her family and baking.

CENTRE YOURSELF - MEDICAL SPA

Kim
Licensed Aesthetician
Director of Spa Services – Chesterton
Kim performs a range of skin health services including facials, chemical peels, makeup applications, waxing and light therapy/laser treatments; all of which can help patients achieve and maintain younger, healthier skin. She believes in educating her patients that beautiful, healthy skin requires an on-going commitment and is willing to introduce them to the tools they need to achieve the skin they dream about. She especially likes to work with acne patients and help them overcome their skin concerns.

She obtained her B.S. from Indiana University, Bloomington and went on to study Esthiology at the Aveda Institute of Chicago. She is licensed in both Indiana and Illinois and has completed postgraduate training from the International Dermal Institute in Chicago.

Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking new recipes, reading good books, exploring new cities, and time spent with her family.

Karen, RN, BS, CPSN
Certified Plastic Surgery Nurse
Karen provides education to cosmetic and reconstructive surgical patients and performs such procedures as micropigmentation, Restylane® injections, sclerotherapy, BOTOX® Cosmetic, laser procedures and chemical peels.

Sharon "Sam", LPN, CMT, ET
Massage Therapist
Sharon is a nurse massage therapist and a certified Endermologie™ Technician. She does all body treatments, including post op, relaxation and therapeutic body work/massage, and Endermologie™ treatments. She also occasionally assists the physicians when they see patients. Her time away from The Centre, P.C. is spent with family and friends, losing herself in a good novel, doing watercolor, dabbling in photography, attempting to keep fit and exploring new landscapes.

Kimberly
Licensed Aesthetician
Kim is an Elkhart native and graduate from the University of Notre Dame. She specializes in helping patients care for their skin, with the purpose of achieving a balance in the skin’s overall health and appearance. Kim’s multifaceted experience in the industry includes expertise in laser treatments, makeup application, waxing, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, customized facials, and skin analysis. Ultimately her goal is to help the patient project their inner beauty outward, and leave feeling confident, beautiful, and radiant.

Kim enjoys cooking, gardening, racquetball, reading, and antiquing in her spare time.

CLINICAL

Lavene, MA
Patient Care Assistant
Lavene provides all pre- and post-operative surgical patients with additional information about their cosmetic and reconstructive procedures through the process of Inform and Consent. She is also highly skilled in wound care and surgical dressing, and takes pride in providing personal care to each surgery patient.

In her free time, Lavene loves to cook.

Jessica, CMA
Patient Care Assistant
Jessica is a certified medical assistant who specializes in wound care and minor procedures. She is responsible for efficient patient flow throughout the day and also provides patients with vital information prior to surgery through the process of Inform and Consent. Outside the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
