Hand Therapy Devices for Hand Injuries
The Centre, P.C. offers an on-site rehabilitation clinic for patients who have hand injuries in Elkhart and South Bend, Indiana, Michiana and the Southern Michigan area, and Chicago.
The Centre, P.C. offers two devices that can dramatically improve the functioning of the hand and wrist following an injury or debilitating condition.
The DigiGlide is used for patients who have suffered a traumatic hand injury involving the tendons, joints, bones and soft tissue. It is a hand device that increases joint motion and tendon glide through continuous passive motion. Its use is begun when the therapist determines the patient is ready for active and passive motion.
The TenoGlide is similar, but has the added advantage of moving the wrist along with the fingers. The advanced electronics of the TenoGlide can be programmed to isolate the motion of the fingers/wrist independently or combine any sequence of motions in either a synchronized or random pattern.
Contact our plastic surgeons for more information on our rehabilitation clinic.
